Each and every story has a different feel to them, allowing the reader a different experience each time. With this book, Cristobal has given the readers three stories. The first, titled “My Choice”, is about a woman named Claire who seems to be living a normal life. However, Claire soon shows her struggles with the ideal image the media feeds the public.
The second, titled “After a Long Day”, is about a father and their child heading home after running some errands. Through this story, descriptions quickly take control as it displays what may be running along in the father’s sleep-deprived mind.
The third, “The Escape”, is about a group of soldiers trying to escape from a group of demons determined to take their lives. Their abilities and determination are put to a test, however, as they venture through an unknown cave with the hopes of making it back to the safety of their Kingdom.

X-Experiments
Two sides, each with different views. One person, will she tell the truth?
Within X-Experiments, we're in a world known as 'Irisen'. Prince Ian, the ruler of two out of three continents, wishes to keep control of the world by raising a powerful army capable of using magic. The problem with this? Only the Dahn (humans with magic) are able to use magic. Thus, he kidnaps children using a device that is capable of detecting Dahn essence despite their parents being a Sen (humans with no magic).

The Rebellion are against the Prince and know of the evils that he is capable of. They're trying to get the people to side with them, but how? The only way they know of is to speak to the people themselves to try and convince them otherwise. Only one other tactic remains, however, as they use Jessica Breswen, a woman who had been one of those very children taken at a young age and experimented on ever since.

Through Jessica's eyes, we see the beauty and the horrors that she sees once she has gained her newfound freedom.
