ABOUT ME

    Within myself, I hear multiple voices calling out. Sitting quietly and waiting for the right voice to come along would make everything easier, but this only leaves curiosity. What would happen if I were to accept this voice? What would have happened if I had denied this one? Not knowing what comes my way is scary, but not knowing what each voice has to say is even scarier. It leaves behind a trail of regret and that’s something that I don’t want to face anymore. Trials may come and go with each path taken, but being able to use my own strength to hold onto my own voice is something that I know I have to do. Through my voice, I’m able to pursue the path I feel is right.

      Among the many voices out there, my name is Carlos Luckie Cristobal. Currently, I am a student at Full Sail University, and I am pursuing a Creative Writing Bachelors Degree. It took me a long while to figure out what I wanted and listening to all of these other voices didn’t help much. From Game Art to Teaching to Art to Game Design, I finally realized that I was relying too much on other people to make my decisions. Reading stories of knights to playing characters who fight to save their land, I realized that my passion is in storytelling.

       In movies, books, and video games, there are storylines that can immerse its viewers into the world that it’s portraying. I believe that telling these stories are important as they allow a creative outlet for everyone. It allows both author and viewer an escape from reality, giving them a chance to feel like they can be themselves for even a brief moment. Being able to write a story that touches the hearts of its readers and its viewers is what drives me to pursue my current path.
